Terms of Service

Last updated September 11, 2026 · Granite Peak Engineering, San Marcos, California

1. The deal in one paragraph

CarGo is an early-access service that sends you alerts when your own vehicles arrive at or leave your home, using motion clips from your Ring camera. By using it you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

2. What CarGo is — and is not

3. Your Ring account and your cameras

4. Acceptable use

Use CarGo only for your own household's vehicles on cameras you are entitled to use. Don't use it to track people, to circumvent anyone's privacy, or to probe or overload the service. We may suspend accounts that do.

5. Fees

Early access is free. If we introduce pricing we will tell you in advance, and you will never be charged without agreeing to it first.

6. Ending things

You can stop at any time by disconnecting Ring, uninstalling the app, or asking us to delete your account. We may end or change the early-access service with reasonable notice.

7. No warranty; limits on liability

CarGo is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Granite Peak Engineering is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to CarGo is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months or fifty US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits; where they don't, they apply to the extent permitted.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. We would much rather resolve any problem by email first.

9. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be dated here and, where appropriate, emailed to you. Questions: support@cargohold.io.
