Know when your cars come and go.

CarGo integrates with your Ring camera and alerts you on the vehicles you care about, not every car that passes on the street. CarGo learns your vehicles' appearance from your camera and a few taps from you.

How it works

1

Take CarGo for a free spin around the block

Subscribe through the Ring Appstore on your Ring account.

2

Describe your car

CarGo does the rest. You get a picture snip of your vehicle. Tap ✓ Mine or ✗ Not mine on a handful and CarGo learns each vehicle's look — no license plates involved.

3

Get the alert you want

The vehicles you care about on your street, job site, or storefront.

The kind of alerts CarGo sends — tap one to see the still, at the size a Ring camera really gives us.

Sample CarGo still: a white Ford F-150 in profile on a residential street, plate and driver blurred

Residential street. One cropped still — plate, driver and lettering blurred — plus the time and direction. No video.

Sample CarGo still: a white Ford F-150 arriving at a job site, lettering blurred

Job site. Know which crews and subs have arrived without watching a feed.

Sample CarGo still: a black Ford F-150 in profile in front of a storefront, driver and lettering blurred

Storefront. The vehicles you care about, on the street in front of your business.

Questions

Is CarGo in the Play Store or App Store?

CarGo is under development as a Ring app-store product only. Early access is available — email us.

Does it read my license plate?

No. CarGo recognizes your vehicles by overall appearance — shape, color, trim — the way you would across the street. Plates are blurred in every still we keep.

What about neighbors' cars and people in the frame?

CarGo receives Ring camera alert triggers based on movement: cars, people, lizards. Static images are tight-cropped to eliminate background and filtered to purge anything that isn't the moving vehicle. Any people that persist in the crop are blurred.

How do I get the best results?

Closer cameras, more pixels, good light, and a few dozen ✓/✗ taps. The Help page has the specifics — camera placement, Ring settings that silently block vehicle clips, lighting, speed, and multiple vehicles.

Will it miss my car or alert on the wrong one?

Sometimes, especially in the first days. Every ✓ or ✗ you tap makes it more accurate. CarGo is a convenience, not a security or safety system — do not rely on it for either.

Which cameras work?

Ring cameras with motion recording (a Ring Protect subscription so clips exist).

What does it cost?

Early access is free. Pricing will be announced before anyone is charged.

How do I stop it or delete my data?

Turn off notifications in one tap, remove CarGo's access in your Ring account settings, or email support@cargohold.io and we delete everything.
