Know when your cars come and go.

CarGo watches your Ring camera's motion clips and tells you when your own vehicles arrive or leave — not every car that passes on the street. It learns your cars by their appearance, from a few taps of yours.

Works with Ring cameras that record motion clips (a Ring Protect plan). Not affiliated with Ring or Amazon.

How it works

1

Connect your Ring account

You authorize CarGo to read your camera's motion clips. We store an access token — never your Ring password.

2

Show it your cars

The first detections appear as cards. Tap ✓ Mine or ✗ Not mine on a handful and CarGo learns each vehicle's look — no license plates involved.

3

Get the alert that matters

A phone notification when one of your vehicles leaves or comes home. Everything else stays quiet.

Bolt leaving · 8:47 AMThe kind of alert CarGo sends. Tap it to see the still and confirm or correct it.

Built privacy-first, because it points at your driveway

Why isn't it in the Play Store yet?

Fair question — a website asking you to install an app should make you suspicious. Here is the plain answer.

CarGo is a web app: it installs from your browser, asks for exactly one permission (notifications, which you can revoke in a tap), runs in the browser's sandbox, and uninstalls like any other app. There is no hidden download and nothing runs outside the browser.

A Google Play listing is in progress and a Ring app-store listing is planned, so you will be able to install from a store you already trust. Until then, early access is by invitation — email us and a human will answer.

Questions

Does it read my license plate?

No. CarGo recognizes your vehicles by overall appearance — shape, color, trim — the way you would across the street. Plates are blurred in every still we keep.

What about neighbors' cars and people in the frame?

Other vehicles are never identified or tracked; they only serve as "not yours" examples on your own account. Faces are blurred before anything is stored.

Will it miss my car or alert on the wrong one?

Sometimes, especially in the first days. Every ✓ or ✗ you tap makes it more accurate. CarGo is a convenience, not a security or safety system — do not rely on it for either.

Which cameras work?

Ring cameras with motion recording (a Ring Protect subscription so clips exist). Driveway-facing views work best.

What does it cost?

Early access is free while we finish the store listings. Pricing will be announced before anyone is charged.

How do I stop it or delete my data?

Turn off notifications in one tap, remove CarGo's access in your Ring account settings, or email support@cargohold.io and we delete everything.

Who makes this

Granite Peak Engineering

A small software company in San Marcos, California. CarGo started because its founder wanted to know when the family's Bolt left the driveway — and found that every existing app alerted on every car on the street.
